Old Mentonians (OMFC) joined the VAFA in 1968 and in 2018 celebrated their 50th year. The winning of the 1990 C section flag enabled the club to finish 3rd in B section in 1993. The club's highest finish to date.

2016 saw the Panthers break out of Division 1, by making Grand Final against Old Geelong and enjoy promotion to Premier C. A narrow eight point loss in the Grand Final was the result of a high scoring season in which they won each of the first four games of the season by over 100 points. The Panthers will continue in Premier C grade in 2023 at a new home, at Le Page Park in Cheltenham, after the majority of our 50 years at Mentone Grammar Playing Fields in Keysborough

The Panthers entered a team in the inaugural VAFA Women's competition and came within two points of a premiership in their first year.

The Club has fielded an Under 19 team pre Covid and has recruited a strong list from the School and local clubs in the past and plan to look to bring back an U19 side in 2024.

The Club has a proud history with many from those early days still supporting the club today. Lifelong friendships, many social activities, and an ambition to continue our growth and rebuild post Covid.
