Round 2 ended up as a big improvement on Round 1 with the Pink Panthers enjoying a hard fought win, and likewise the Reserves.
The Seniors led for most of the day but 1.6 with the wind in the third quarter, and some turnovers in the last saw us fall short by 9 points, but a big improvement from week 1 and promising signs for the season ahead.

RESERVES V MARCELLIN In a tight tussle, the Panthers proved too strong for Marcellin with our first away win since 2017. After giving up the lead in the final term the boys showed maturity and poise to get over the line by 7 points. Some great efforts by both the stalwarts and the young guns was pleasing and the players who were asked to play a specific role did it to perfection. PINK PANTHERS V WHITEFRIARS
Once again we were scrambling to field a full side for our Round 2 game against Whitefriars but we got there in the end with 19 players thanks to the return of Madi Capsalis, Zoe O'Hara & Steph Daperis. Adding the return of Maddy De Amicis, Charlotte Pate & Drew Barclay for their first games this year and we had a formidable line up.
After a pretty even first half we put on 5 goals to 1 in the third Quarter, and managed to keep our lead in a tense final quarter to hold by 3 points.
Maddy De Amicis worked tirelessly in the warm conditions while getting plenty of the ball. Ciara Scott backed up last week's good form with another pack splitting performance in the middle and off half-back, whilst Brooke Carson took on another tagging role.
