Due to continued uncertainty around COVID restrictions, it has been decided to postpone the planned SOCS lunch which had been scheduled for our last home and away game on August 21st.
We had a number from interstate who were planning to attend, but have had to cancel their plans, and with current density limits & restrictions, numbers who would be allowed to attend would be significantly reduced.
Added to that our SOCS leader, Mel Speers, is in lockdown in South East Queensland, and unlikely to get back in time. It would not be a SOCS lunch without Mel !!!
We are looking at options to reschedule, but it would either be post 2021 season, pre 2022 season, or early in the new 2022 season. Will keep you posted.
If restrictions subsequently allow for spectators on August 21st, we will advise, and if density limits change closer to the 21st we may still be able to hold a generic lunch to cheer on the lads in the last home game.. Will keep you posted
