 50 years of Panthers

Old Mentonians joined the VAFA in 1968 and in 2018 celebrated their 50th year. The winning of the 1990 C section flag enabled the club to finish 3rd in B section in 1993. The club's highest finish to date. 2016 saw the Panthers break out of Division 1, by making Grand Final with a narrow 8 point loss against Old Geelong and enjoy promotion to Premier C. We have been middle of the pack through the Covid years and are looking towards the 2023 season

The Panthers will continue in Premier C grade in 2023 at a new home, at Le Page Park in Cheltenham, moving from our previous home of 50+ years at Mentone Grammar Playing Fields in Keysborough

The Panthers entered a team in the inaugural VAFA Women's competition and came within two points of a premiership in their first year. 2021 saw them make the Grand Final only for Covid to interfere in premiership glory.

We are looking for players for our Under 19 side for 2024 after a successful 2021, where we again made finals, but with most of the team no longer eligible we did not field a side in 2022.

As part of our Rebuild program, we are moving our home base in 2023 to Le Page Park in Cheltenham which, in a co-tenancy arrangement with the Cheltenham Junior Football Club Panthers, will become the home of the OMFC Panthers from April 2023
